  • Started to get worried these days for the coming offshore work. My body seems can't stand wavy sea state anymore and get seasick when I work on boat. How can I survive for nearly 2 months on the vessel?

For the work we are doing, interpretation is really very objective. One can say 'yes, this is the target we are looking for' while the other one can say 'no, we can only estimate'. What's the degree of accuracy? how reliable is the data we are collecting? I'm doubtful.

  • Baking bread again

After the previous Italian Bread, a lot of ideas come to my mind...I want to try out more with different ingredients and proportions. I brows the internet and find that there are many other bread lovers who share their experience of baking bread at home, and I am now learning how to feed a jar of flour mix with yeast (so called a starter) which will give the dough a unique flavour and the bread will last longer.

This time I make oatmeal bread roll and ham bread. The texture comes out to be better than the one I make before. haha....since I 'played' with the dough really hard, throw it down repeatly onto the table, and is a tiring exercise to me also!

Now I understand why my friend said she 'addicted' to baking bread, as the process is certainly interesting, and you can try out anything you can think of. Amazing.....:)

Haha, the oatmeal inside the roll seems to be dissolved when baking, hardly see any when sliced.

  • My first loaf!!

This afternoon I follow the receipe from the book Bread and Buns trying to make an Italian Bread and I add some raisins, it is my first time to make bread at home. The yeast works well and the dough rises double in size. Excited when it is out of the oven....

  • Busy for nearly two months, on site and prepare for reports...Finally I can take a rest, manager will take care of the remaining stuff. Last night chat with father, he encouraged me Never give up whatever you do. All things need experience to make a better result. I listened to his own story, how he worked hard to achieve success in his field. Yea, always work hard and learn from experience!
